The “Sound Around” feature lets you hear what is happening near your child’s phone in real time, in ONLINE mode.

It is a powerful tool for moments of concern, when you need to quickly understand the situation: for example, when your child doesn’t pick up the phone, doesn’t reply in messaging apps for a long time, or their location on the map looks unusual.

What is “Sound Around” in Logy

“Sound Around” is a parental control feature that lets you remotely activate the microphone on your child’s phone and listen to what is happening around it in real time.

Not logs or delayed reports, but a live audio stream from your child’s surroundings ONLINE.

It is especially useful when:

  • your child doesn’t answer calls or messages
  • their location on the map looks strange or potentially unsafe
  • you suspect bullying, conflict or aggressive behaviour from other children or adults
  • you need to be sure your child is really where they said they would be and that everything is calm

How parents use “Sound Around”

The feature works perfectly together with classic parental controls and location tracking. The map shows where your child’s phone is, and “Sound Around” helps you understand what is happening around it:

  • whether you can hear street noise, a shopping centre, school, playground or crowd
  • whether there are raised voices, shouting or signs of conflict nearby
  • whether your child really is at practice, an activity or with friends
  • whether the phone is in a suspiciously quiet place where it may have been left or taken away

In stressful situations it is often faster and more informative than waiting for a message back or calling over and over again.

Privacy and legal use

The “Sound Around” feature is designed exclusively for monitoring a child’s phone and improving their safety. It is not a spy tool for monitoring adults, partners, employees or anyone else.

The parent:

  • installs the child app on the child’s phone themselves
  • grants all required permissions to use the microphone
  • uses the feature as part of caring for the safety of a minor

We do not turn your child’s device into a constant listening bug: the sound is enabled only on demand by the parent and runs for a limited time. This is a healthy form of parental control, not total surveillance.

Why “Sound Around” is not over-control, but a safety net

Most of the time, calls and messaging apps are enough. But there are situations when:

  • the phone is in your child’s pocket and they physically cannot answer
  • they are scared, confused or don’t fully understand what is happening
  • an adult nearby does not allow them to talk freely

In these moments, “Sound Around” becomes a real safety net: the parent can quickly assess what is going on and decide what to do next — take a breath and relax, or act immediately.
